Today is the day I lost a loved one, all the way back in Singapore.
Now its all too late for regrets. The regrets of not flying back in time just to see her for one last time. She wanted to see me. Went into hospital twice, I was still not back. Came out of hospital to be put into a Hospice at St Joseph's last night, and I was still not there.
Each time, she was waiting for me to fly back and see me because she could hang on no longer... I still wasnt there. Summer courses has just ended yesterday.
Last night, my cousins were even willing to pay for my ticket to fly back immediately but my mum wanted me to stay for christmas here before I leave. I agreed.
This afternoon while I was still asleep, I received an sms from my cousin to say that, "Jie... Grandma has passed on."
I cried like hell.
Now my parents and I have booked a flight back on Saturday and Sunday, Dad would be flying back on Saturday then on Sunday it would be followed by me, my mum and my brother.
Its all too late for regrets now. Cause I received another sms from my cousin to say that, "Grandma's body is now being shifted to the mortuary..."
Grandma, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for so long... But I promised you that I'd ace my studies and graduate out of University by the end of next year.
Sorry once again, Grandma. I'll miss you & I'm glad I told you how much I love you before you went to meet the Lord in heaven.
